What’s the best fit for you?

The Outreach Team builds relationships across Akron. You’ll help to run communications and outreach campaigns, recruiting participants and partners, and sharing updates and outcomes with the public. This team ensures the Assembly reflects our city’s diversity and remains visible and connected long after the event ends.

The Research Team gathers and curates the experiences, data, and background materials that inform the Assembly’s work. Members help ensure materials are balanced, accessible, and relevant, so delegates can deliberate with clarity and confidence.

The Support Team makes participation possible for everyone. Volunteers coordinate logistics like venues, meals, transportation, accessibility, and childcare, and provide hands-on support to delegates and guests. This team ensures every participant feels welcomed, cared for, and ready to share their perspectives.

The Impact Team helps ensure the Assembly’s recommendations don’t stop at discussion. Members coordinate with partners on post-Assembly accountability, track progress, share updates with the community, and mobilize residents to support implementation and continued engagement. Their work keeps momentum going and strengthens trust in this process as a model for community problem-solving.
